Discovery Ices Pittsburgh Penguins

March 14, 2015 – Nothing like the cross-pollination of sports and science and The Pittsburgh Penguins have been having a good time via Twitter with the Discovery Channel. Until today, when Discovery dropped the mic.

The build up started with a penguin factoid by Discovery:

Awe. Cute banter between two different worlds that have penguins in common. Then, referencing the absence of the Penguins from the NHL playoffs, Discovery fired off a burn that melted Pittsburgh’s ice:
