Microsoft AI Teen Devolves into Nympho Hitler within Hours

March 29, 2016 – The future is now and she sounds like an FBI agent baiting pedophiles online. Researchers at Microsoft datamined themselves into a corner recently when they unleashed a prototype chatbot named Tay into the teen girl Twitterverse. @TayandYou’s Twitter bio reads “the official account of Tay, Microsoft’s A.I. fam from the internet that’s got zero chill! The more you talk the smarter Tay gets.” That translated into a flashing neon welcome mat/mousepad for Twitter trolls everywhere and Tay went from Taylor Swift to genocidal Albanian sex-worker in a matter of hours.

Things got so bad that Microsoft’s team had to pull the plug on the infinite hate machine after the AI’s timeline was inundated with Hitler references, duck face selfies, and blunt sexual references.

Tay was designed to “experiment with and conduct research on conversational understanding” which is a clever way of saying “targeted ads.” Oops.
