“Maybe people just don’t care”
February 11, 2022 – Actor and comedian, Seth Rogen, shared his thoughts about the upcoming Academy Awards in a recent interview with Insider:
“I don’t get why movie people care so much if other people care what awards we give ourselves.”
Rogen added:
“To me, maybe people just don’t care. I don’t care who wins the automobile awards. No other industry expects everyone to care about what awards they shower upon themselves. Maybe people just don’t care. Maybe they did for a while and they stopped caring. And why should they?”
The Academy Awards have been facing steady declines in viewership in recent years and will return with a host for the first time since 2018. The host has yet to be announced.
The Oscars air on ABC on March 27.
