“If The Knife is Rusted, I Can’t be Busted”
March 10, 2016 – Everyday feels like “throwback Thursday” with O.J. Simpson being atop the news cycle once again; first for the hit FX series “The People v. O.J. Simpson” and now for the discovery of a knife buried in Simpson’s yard during the demolition of his Brentwood home in 1998. An unidentified construction worker turned the knife over to an LAPD officer who instead of submitting it as evidence, kept it as a souvenir, thinking the case was closed – Simpson had already been acquitted of killing ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman.
“The Juice” is currently behind bars serving time for armed robbery and kidnapping and apparently using humor to continue to work through his ex-wife’s death.
Retired prison guard Jeffrey Felix, a confidante of Simpson’s and author of “Guarding the Juice” told the New York Post:
“O.J. has a saying — ‘If the knife is rusted, I can’t be busted.’”
“He thinks it’s a total joke,” Felix reports. “O.J. is laughing about it. He’s on top of his game. He’s like Muhammad Ali.”
Regardless of any new forensic findings, having already been acquitted of the murders, Simpson cannot be tried again.
You be the judge. Is O.J.’s quip “if the knife is rusted, I can’t be busted” Funny or Offensive? VOTE and COMMENT now…
