There’s A Lot Of Porm Out There
June 7th, 2017 – Cartographers may find Pornhub’s map interesting, but this state-by-state breakdown may be more appealing to those who need a laugh. The porn purveyor decided to do some research on misspelled words after President Trump introduced the world to the word “covfefe” last week. Porhub found that 9,000 people searched the mangled letters that make up covfefe, and it got them wondering what other misspelled words people search for on their site.
Enter the Pornhub infographic. On the bottom, right corner they give some guidance by listing correctly spelled terms: Porn, Hentai, Lesbian, Cartoon, Threesome, Ebony, Amateur, Compilation, Filipino, Asian, and Stepmom.
“Porm” seems to be the most misspelled word, which is understandable on the one hand but confusing considering people are already on a porn site. Wyoming, New Mexico and Kentucky want to see three people engaging in sexual activities but only want to use one “e.” And the people of Minnesota are either misspelling “Stepmom” or they’re into Jamaican mothers.
Google and Estately have released many state-by-state breakdown maps – most recently during the Spelling Bee week and in the past for the most searched shopping items. This is a new avenue for Pornhub but landing some jokes with the president is something they’ve engaged in previously.
Back in February, Trump took Twitter hoping that his travel ban would be an easy decision for the courts to rule in his favor. Pornhub, however, took advantage of the president’s wording of “EASY D.”

A look at the country’s most searched porn terms have yielded plenty of jokes. Whether it’s due to varying misspellings of “lesbian” or the huddle of midwestern states into “hentai,” there was plenty of material for Twitter to use.
