Subway’s Titanic Joke Sinks

July 10, 2023 – A Subway restaurant in Rincon, Georgia, has faced backlash after displaying a sign that made light of the recent implosion of the Titan submersible. The sign, which read “Our subs don’t implode,” was seen as insensitive by many, who felt that it was too soon to make jokes about the tragedy.
The Titan submersible was on a voyage to see the wreck of the Titanic when it imploded on June 18, killing all five people on board. The incident was a major tragedy, and many people felt that the Subway sign was disrespectful to the victims and their families.
The sign was quickly removed after it was brought to the attention of Subway corporate. The company issued a statement saying that they “regretted any offense” that the sign may have caused.
