February 9th, 2017 – It’s a mad, ad, ad, ad world. Even with streaming services and “skip ad” options, advertisers are finding creative ways to showcase their products. The advertising agencies of today, however, are more aware of a politically correct climate and often take extra steps to ensure that their ads won’t overtly offend a mass audience of people.
They make take a stance. They may push the boundaries. They may currently promote inclusivity as an American value and be labeled as anti-Trump. Some ads may even get placed on an “offensive” list article, but you’d be hard pressed to find an ad showing a man resting his foot on a woman’s head being used as a rug with the caption “It’s nice to have a girl around the house.”
