April 19, 2016 – Just hours before the crucial New York Primary, GOP frontrunner Donald Trump mistakenly referred to the 9/11 terrorist attacks as…7-Eleven. The real estate mogul, expected to win his home state Primary, was addressing a crowd at a campaign rally in Buffalo. Speaking (presumably) of September 11th, Trump said:
“I was down there, and I watched our police and our fireman, down there on 7-Eleven, down at the World Trade Center right after it came down. And I saw the greatest people I’ve ever seen in action. I saw the bravest people I’ve ever seen, including the construction workers, including every person down there.”
“That’s what New York values are about,” Trump added, quoting rival Ted Cruz for his repeated use of the phrase.
Social media has unsurprisingly gulped this down like a slurpee on a hot summer day:
Other Donald Trump American tragedies, besides the attack on 7-11:
– bombing of Pearl Jam
– the Trail of Sears
